Ceremony tonight celebrates those working to make community better

AID Atlanta honors local gay activists

AID Atlanta honors some of the top activists and companies working toward social justice at a special ceremony today from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Schwartz Goldstein Hall of the Temple, 1589 Peachtree St., NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.

Selected to honored are Jeff Graham, executive director of Georgia Equality and a longtime LGBT and social justice activist; For the Kid in All of Us, a non-profit that sponsors the gay-popular Toy Party and Backpack in the Park that ask for donations for children and families in need; Atlanta Gas Light; and Bud Russell.

Founded in 1982, AID Atlanta is the largest and most comprehensive AIDS Service Organizations in the Southeast.
