Atlanta police still seeking interview with victim in alleged anti-gay bashing

“Those details will help us determine if this crime meets the criteria to bring in our Homeland Security Unit, which investigates bias crimes,” he added.

Parker said he was attacked Aug. 4 while going to the Fenuxe Fire Party in Atlantic Station. The initial police report states Parker told police it was “not a big deal” and did not want medical treatment, according to a police report.

He did eventually agree to medical treatment and received stitches to close up a wound near his eye.

Surveillance cameras are located throughout Atlantic Station and Campos said Atlantic Station officials are working with APD to ensure video is made available to the APD as it investigates the alleged attack.

“Atlantic Station is working with us to make sure we get any video footage that might exist of this reported assault,” Campos said.
