Last year’s grand marshals provided a diverse of mix of people, from the South’s campiest drag troupe the Armorettes, to Clermont Lounge stripper Blondie, to longtime AIDS activist and executive director of Georgia Equality Jeff Graham, to Vandy Beth Glenn, a transgender woman who sued the state and won after she was wrongfully fired from her job.
From APC: “The number of grand marshals selected for the 2013 parade is dependent upon the number of qualified nominations received. The membership of Atlanta Pride Committee selects the recipients.”
Atlanta Pride this year will be Oct. 12-13.
