Atlanta radio show tonight discusses local gay activism The GA Voice Editors January 11, 2011 Uncategorized Craig Washington will be on the program during the first half of the program to talk about the Bayard Rustin/Audre Lorde breakfast named for the Rustin, who was Martin Luther King’s gay friend and a mentor, and Lorde, the renowned black lesbian poet and activist. The breakfast is set for St. Mark United Methodist Church on Monday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. After the breakfast, a march and rally will be held including gay speakers Tracy Elliott, executive director of AID Atlanta; and Anneliese Singh, founder of the Georgia Safe Schools Coalition. Also on tonight’s show will be Jess Morgan and Art Izzard from the Queer Justice League and Paul Schappaugh of GetEQUAL GA to discuss the canceled flash mob “kiss in” that was planned for Deal’s inauguration on Monday.
