Atlanta ready to settle second Eagle lawsuit? The GA Voice Editors September 27, 2011 Atlanta The settlement to be voted on will settle the lawsuit for $15,000 to each plaintiff for a total of $120,000, the AJC reported. The plaintiffs filed the lawsuit just before the two-year statute of limitations expired on seeking legal recourse from the city after the botched raid on the gay bar the Atlanta Eagle on Sept. 10, 2009. The city settled the original lawsuit with 28 plaintiffs for $1.025 million. Another lawsuit against the city, filed by former Atlanta Eagle bartender Chris Lopez, is still pending.
