Hey, girl — Rachel Maddow is coming to Atlanta next month to read to you

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. to see Rachel Maddow when she visits our fair city next month as part of the nationwide tour for the paperback edition of her book, “Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power.”

And, girl, she dedicates the book to former Vice President Dick Cheney. “Oh, please let me interview you,” she writes in the dedication.

Maddow, the Emmy-winning host as well as a New York Times No. 1 bestselling author, will be at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m.

Atlanta’s A Cappella Books and the AJC-Decatur Book Festival teamed up to bring Maddow to Atlanta. Tickets can be purchased at the Symphony Hall box office, A Cappella Books and online at www.woodruffcenter.org. Ticket prices start at $20 and each ticket includes a signed copy of “Drift.”

“Drift” is Maddow’s exploration of how America has drifted into a “perpetual state of war” and traces this path from the Vietnam War to today’s war in Afghanistan.

And hey, girl. No shrieking at a book reading.
