Submit your pet photos and stories for our upcoming Pet Issue

Is your pet the cutest? How about the craziest?

Sure, everyone loves their pets. But LGBT people are often known for being particularly devoted to our furry and feathered friends, perhaps because they provide the unconditional love we sometimes miss out on when coming out.

In our Aug. 5 issue, we celebrate all of our community’s pets and the joy (and sometimes frustration) they bring into our lives.

You can join in the fun by submitting your pet photos and stories to editor@thegavoice.com by July 27 to be considered for publication in our Pet Issue. Please send larger files; those tiny phone pics you upload to Facebook won’t always work for print!

Do you have a service dog who helps you navigate LGBT Georgia? Did you have to make sure your cat liked your girlfriend’s dog before you could move in? Did you meet your boyfriend walking dogs at the dog park? Did your pet adopt you as much as you adopted him?

Whatever your story, share it! Or just send us those photos that are almost too cute to bear. And be sure to look for our pet issue on Aug. 5!
