UPDATED: Gay man attacked Saturday at Atlantic Station

A gay man was attacked in Atlantic Station on Saturday night after being asked if he was gay by an unknown male who fled the scene on foot, according to a friend of the victim. The assailant has not yet been arrested, according to a statement from the Atlanta Police Department.

The victim was going to the Fenuxe Fire Party when he was attacked. The Fire Party was held at the Old Fox Grill at 261 19th St.

Andy Bell of Erasure to perform at Atlanta Pride

The Atlanta Pride Committee today announced that Andy Bell, one half of the duo from Erasure, will perform at this year’s Atlanta Pride festival on Oct. 13.

Bell’s appearance will be sponsored by local gay nightlife/entertainment magazine David and Project Q Atlanta.

State investigation into Fulton election errors includes gay candidate races

The Secretary of State is investigating errors made by Fulton County elections officials in the July 31 primary including races with gay candidates.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported  that “results showed several of Fulton’s precincts had a voter turnout greater than 100 percent, including one with a 23,300 percent turnout.”
