New queer calendar celebrates love of the library

Gittemeier added that a few hundred calendars have been printed and will sell for $20 a piece at Java Monkey and online for $25. The price difference is to help cover the cost of shipping, Gittemeier said.

“We turned to friends. I went to the people I knew that loved libraries and had each of them find their favorite books and they modeled with that. My partner works at Java Monkey. A couple of the baristas from Java Monkey also participated,” Gittemeier said.

Gittemeier’s partner Jessi Noreault is the calendar’s cover model.

A release party is scheduled for Sat. Dec. 1 at Trackside Tavern kicking off at 8 p.m.
