Several Atlanta lesbians are forming a new women’s business networking group to fill a void they say exists in the LGBT community. They meet tonight at Hotel Indigo, 683 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, from 6:30 to 8 o’clock.
“A reason we started this group is to support women in our community,” says Cristina Briboneria, acting president of the new Atlanta Women’s All About Business Networking group. Briboneria is associate vice president and private CFO for oXYGen Financial in Alpharetta.
Tonight’s speaker is Jan Suchomski, owner of BizSmart, who will give a talk, “Reinventing the Game: Leveraging Your Network to Achieve Life and Business Goals.” The goal is for the group to meet at least twice a month — once on the first Tuesday and then on the fourth Thursday. The first meetings of the month will be about referrals and networking, allowing women to introduce themselves and describe their businesses and work. Other meetings will include educational and leadership seminars.
