Readin’, writin’ and rockin’ — Sunday concert benefits Atlanta Queer Lit Fest

When she’s not fronting the band Herman Put Down the Gun, Sonia Tetlow plays banjo for “alterna-grass” group Roxie Watson. Tetlow played bass guitar in Cowboy Mouth for several years and also is the former lead singer and guitarist for STB (Sonia Tetlow Band), a punk-rock trio that put out two critically acclaimed independent albums.

The Atlanta Queer Literary Fest will be held June 23-25 in venues in Atlanta and Decatur. Keynote speakers are Bryan Borland, founder of Sibling Rivalry Press; poet Bryan Borland; and Atlanta’s own Theresa Davis, this year’s Women of the World Poetry Slam champion.
