Atlanta Cotillion presents ‘River Raft Race Reunited’ to raise funds for HIV prevention and services

Relive the glory days of Hotlanta River Expo

The event, set for this afternoon, is part of the Atlanta Cotillion fundraising competition, where male “debutantes” see who can raise the most money to help people with HIV.

It is reminiscent of Hotlanta River Expo, which is now defunct but was once the world’s oldest circuit party.

The Cotillion event is limited to 100 reservations, which can be made online here. Cost is $60.

You can also watch the fun event float by on the Chattahoochee River as participants launch their rafts at the Chattahoochee Powers Island Landing at 10 a.m. and float down to the Chattahoochee Paces Mill Landing.

The Atlanta Cotillion fundraising season culminates with the Atlanta Cotillion Ball, set for Sept. 18, in which the debutante who raises the most is crowned queen.
