Sarah Peacock plays a solo acoustic concert today at Bellissima, taking the stage at 8:30 p.m.
Her passion for music started at an early age — she began piano lessons at age 4, got her first guitar when she was 11 and began teaching herself the drums when she was 13. At 14, she wrote her first song. Growing up, she was involved in music at church and school.
She moved to Nashville, Tenn., from Atlanta in 2001 to study at Belmont University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in commercial music in 2005. Since then she’s been writing songs, recording and touring across the U.S.
She was signed to independent label Maze Records in 2006 and produced her first album, “Straight for Your Heart.”
