Victims help catch suspects who robbed them after leaving Blake’s

Davis noticed that the white van drove by slowly again during the robbery. As Gutierrez ran after the suspects, Davis flagged down a patrol car and described the van, according to the police report and a narrative provided by APD.

Davis then ran to find Gutierrez. Gutierrez had chased the subjects, following the unarmed one when the two separated. He caught the suspect dressed in white, according to police, and “was in a physical altercation with the suspect” when police arrived. Police identified that suspect as Antonio Allen, 18.

“The second suspect was last seen on foot, on Monroe Drive, running towards Ponce De Leon Avenue,” according to police. That man is still at-large.

Police also located the white van, a Dodge Caravan with a Florida license tag, and arrested Shermaine Caison, 24.

Caison faces two counts each of armed robbery, possession of a fire arm during commission of a felony, and possession of a fire arm by a convicted felon. His record also includes arrests for possession of cocaine and marijuana in April 2008 and carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a pistol without a license, and possession of marijuana in December 2007.

Allen faces two counts of armed robbery, one count of possession of a fire arm during commission of a felony, and possession of a fire arm by a convicted felon. His more common name makes it difficult to discern other past arrests from Fulton County online inmate records.
