For fans of “Bound” and “The Matrix” trilogy as well as “V for Vendetta,” the Wachowski brothers became icons in the film industry. They were quite simply geniuses and garnered a huge, devoted fan base.  

But then reports came out years ago that one of the brothers had transitioned to female. The Wachowski Brothers, Andy and Larry, were no more. They were now Lana and Andy and now known simply as the Wachowskis.

Out on Film: 2012 festival ‘largest ever’

Organizers behind Atlanta’s annual LGBT film festival announced today this year’s festival, held Oct. 4-11, was the largest in the event’s 25 year history.

Festival Director Jim Farmer praised the Atlanta community and sponsors for a successful festival.

‘Uncle Poodle’ speaks out on gay bashing for Spirit Day

Lee Thompson, known to fans of the TLC reality program “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” as “Uncle Poodle,” released a video through media watchdog GLAAD over the weekend to promote LGBT Spirit Day, which was Oct. 19.

In the video, Thompson says he was the victim of bullying while in school and had suffered broken bones and a dislocated jaw from gay bashings.

Log Cabin endorses Romney; Stonewall Democrats call nod ‘shameful’

With just two weeks to go before the Nov. 6 general election, gay GOP group Log Cabin Republicans officially endorsed Mitt Romney to be the next president of the United States.

The endorsement was the topic of much speculation in recent weeks, as Romney, and nearly all of the other major Republican contenders during the primary season, signed a pledge to push toward a federal marriage amendment. Such a pledge caused the Log Cabin Republicans to withhold an endorsement of former president George W. Bush in the 2004 general election.
