WNBA’s Atlanta Dream hosts first LGBT Pride night

The Dream will donate a portion of ticket sales to Georgia Equality other local LGBT nonprofit organizations. Get your tickets at this link.

Funds raised from this game  will be used by Georgia Equality to continue its ongoing work to protect youth from bullying through the Campaign for Safe Schools also launch a new initiative, the Student Equality Network of Georgia.

The USA women’s team plays France Saturday at 4 p.m. for the gold. In addition to McCoughtry, the Dream is represented on the Olympic team by Marynell Meadors as assistant coach.

AUG. 29 UPDATE: A lot has been going on with the Dream just this week. Coach Marynell Meadors was fired Monday and star player Angel McCoughtry has been indefinitely suspended by the new coach, Fred Williams. Read what the Associated Press has to say about the drama at this link.
