1. Vladimir Putin decided it’s his God-given duty to stop same-sex marriage so that more babies can be born. He’s also against gay adoption.

2. For the first time ever, Iceland selected a transwoman to be its Lady of the Mountain during the country’s annual national holiday.

3. Today, Human Rights Campaign asks the LGBT and ally communities to join in mourning the life of 28-year-old Kendra Marie Adams, who is the 13th transwoman of color killed this year in the US. Police in New York do have a suspect in custody.

4. New Jersey police Officer Matt Stanislao went from being fired due to homophobia two years ago to being this year’s honored guest at the first-ever Pride in Glen Rock. He chronicles his journey in The New York Times.
