1. Martin Shkreli, who is known for increasing the price of the AIDS drug Daraprim by 5,000 percent, was found guilty of fraud this week. The charges stem from financial issues, however, and not the drug price increase.

2. Juan Javier Cruz was shot and killed in Florida on Sunday, and witnesses say it’s because he stood up for his gay friends.

3. A gay man in Oklahoma filed suit against nine defendants, including his county’s sheriff and the mayor of Hitchcock, Oklahoma. Randy Gamel-Medler said the city officials failed to protect him and his young son, resulting in months of harassment and ultimately, his house burning to the ground.
