1. BJ Barone and Frankie Nelson, a gay Toronto couple whose birth photo of their son went viral in 2014 are upset after learning that the photo is being used in an anti-gay campaign in Italy. 

2. Georgia Carter, the Virginia trans woman who was hired by KFC and quickly fired due to her gender identity has been offered a job and an apology by the fast food chain.

3. A California school district reversed course and now says it will ask students wearing anti-gay symbols to remove them while on campus—at least for now.

4. Openly gay singer Sam Smith is facing a wave of backlash following his Oscars acceptance speech. He has even quit Twitter. Historian Jim Downs says Smith is suffering from “gay cultural amnesia.”
