The Atlanta Jazz festival, the largest free festival of its kind in the country, kicks off today in Piedmont Park.

Kicking off at 2 p.m. this afternoon in Piedmont Park, today’s festivities include six performers. Rialto Jazz For Kids All Star Jazz Band, Jay Norem and Keith White Quartet, The Steven Charles Band, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Swing Streets to Swing Beats feat. Esperanza Spalding and Raydar Ellis and Marcus Miller – “Tutu Revisted, the Music of Miles Davis” feat. Christian Scott are all scheduled to perform today.
