Overall: One Midtown Kitchen

With its oh-so-trendy location and menu, the seven-year-old One Midtown Kitchen (www.concentricshospitality.com) is your top dining choice. It’s a perfect place to spend an evening noshing on some fine food. The appetizers (such as parmesan fries), wine and desserts don’t disappoint either.

Second place went to Sotto Sotto (www.sottosottorestaurant.com) and third to Atlanta Diner (www.atlantadiner24hours.com).

New: HOBNOB

HOBNOB (www.hobnobatlanta.com), located at Piedmont Ave. and Monroe Drive, is the fave of all the new Atlanta eateries, offering a southern twist on tavern food. The likes of fried green tomatoes and collard greens go toe-to-toe with hamburgers and other traditional/classic dinner ideas.

Sauced (www.saucedatlanta.com) and Miller Union (www.millerunion.com) are your second and third choices.

Value: Eats

Meals under $10 can be found in Atlanta — and your favorite is Eats (www.eatsonponce.net). It’s quick, conveniently located and won’t put a dent in your finances. Eats has pasta dishes and good ole jerk chicken, plus the likes of green beans and baked sweet potatoes.

Eats just edged out second place Taqueria Del Sol (www.taqueriadelsol.com) by 10 votes. Third place was Joe’s on Juniper (www.joesatlanta.com/juniper/), with Doc Chey’s Noodle House (www.doccheys.com) fourth.

Take-out / Delivery: Doc Chey’s Noodle House

Doc Chey’s (www.doccheys) is the top place to pick up spring rolls, dumplings, curries and stir fries — or on a stay-in evening, to have those goodies brought to you. Two area locations (Midtown and Decatur) make it easily accessible.

Nancy’s Pizza (www.nancyspizza.com) and Jagger’s Pizza (www.jaggerspizza.com) were your other top choices.

Mexican: Taqueria del Sol

When you’re in the mood for tacos, burritos and enchiladas, Taqueria del Sol (www.taqueriadelsol.com) is your favorite Mexican joint, with locations all over Atlanta to whet your appetite. Who on Earth knew there were so many kinds of tacos? A very close second was Las Margaritas (www.lasmargaritasatlanta.com), while El Azteca (www.elaztecaatlanta.com) rounded out the top three.

Noni's Bar and Deli takes home two Best of Atlanta awards
Best Italian & Best Bar with Food: Noni’s (Photo via Facebook)

Italian: Noni’s

Some say it’s hard to find good Italian in town, but Atlantans are sold on East Atlanta’s Noni’s (www.nonisdeli.com). With a risotto of the day, Noni’s Lasagna Bolognese and Noni’s meatballs, it’s easy to understand the love.

Just behind Noni’s was Sotto Sotto (www.sottosottorestaurant.com) while La Tavola (www.fifthgroup.com) and Bambinelli’s (www.bambinellispizza.com) were your third and fourth place choices.

Asian: Little Bangkok

Little Bangkok on Cheshire Bridge Road (www.littlebangkokatlanta.com) is the top vote getter for Asian fare, with tangy Thai and Chinese food. This perennially well-populated restaurant has an almost endless array of appetizers and entrees. Little Bangkok is often busy — for good reason.

Ru San’s (www.rusans.com) and Thai Chili (www.thaichilicuisine.com) round out your favorites.

Dining/Outdoor Patio: Joe’s on Juniper

Eating out is always more fun on a nice patio, and Joe’s on Juniper’s (www.joesatlanta.com/juniper/) outdoor location makes it your fave. It’s a great place to see and be seen, especially on a spring/summer Atlanta night, while munching on burgers, wings and sandwiches. Roxx (www.roxxtavern.com) placed second, Einstein’s (www.einsteinsatlanta.com) third and Noni’s (www.nonisdeli.com) fourth.

Best of Atlanta categories:

Dessert: Café Intermezzo

It may have a full menu, but Café Intermezzo’s (www.cafeintermezzo.com) desserts make it a top-flight destination. It’s your favorite place to go with a sweet tooth – tarts, tortes and oodles more beckon.

Southern Sweets Bakery (www.southernsweets.com) placed second and Bakeshop (www.bakeshopatl.com) third.

Breakfast / Brunch: Flying Biscuit

With locations in Midtown and East Atlanta, Flying Biscuit (www.flyingbiscuit.com/) is the top locale for breakfast and brunch. The Biscuit serves breakfast all day (with lip-smacking omelets) and has salads, sandwiches, desserts and entrees that sate, as well as a uniqueness all its own. Like Little Bangkok, it’s not unheard of to see weekend lines, but the wait it worth it.

Radial Café (www.radial.us) placed second and Ria’s Bluebird (www.riasblubord.com) placed third.

Business Lunch: Einstein’s

Still going strong at its Midtown spot after oh so many years, Einstein’s (www.einsteinsatlanta.com) is your top spot for business lunch. It’s a terrific place for a quick bite to eat while meeting with clients/colleagues, with a menu that never seems static.

In second place is Nickiemoto’s Midtown (www.nickiemotosmidtown.com) while Cowtippers (www.cowtippersatlanta.com) is your third place selection.

Late Night: Waffle House

Waffle House (www.wafflehouse.com) never changes – and everyone likes that. With decadent hash browns and waitresses who went to high school with Abe Lincoln, it’s still your favorite place to grab a bite after a night on the town.

Landmark Diner (www.landmarkdiner.com) was a strong second place and in third is Noni’s (www.nonisdeli.com)

Romantic: Apres Diem

Apres Diem (www.apresdiem.com) is the top vote getter for a romantic night out. Among the bistro’s perks are its candlelit ambience, great wine choices and wait staff who never seem in a hurry to get rid of customers. The roasted lamb and Moroccan salmon are great too.

In second place is Café Intermezzo (www.cafeintermezzo.com/index.html) and in third Sotto Sotto (www.sottosottorestaurant.com/).

Radial Cafe wins best organic and vegetarian
Best Vegetarian/Organic: Radial Cafe (Photo via Facebook)

Vegetarian / Organic: Radial Café

Radial Café (www.radial.us) is one of the most environmentally responsible joints around, as well as your vote-getter for veggie dining, both for breakfast and lunch/brunch. Its creative menu includes the likes of veggie sausage and apple pie vegan pancakes.

Metrofresh (www.metrofreshatl.com) was in second place and Café Sunflower (www.cafesunflower.com) third.

Bar with the Best Food: Noni’s

The versatile Noni’s is not only known as a restaurant but as a bar/hangout — albeit one with some tasty, not-your-typical-bar-food eats. A late night meatball sub: yum! Woof’s (www.woofsatlanta.com) placed second and Burkhart’s (www.burkharts.com) third.
