The Lambda Literary Foundation was created to celebrate the voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender writers and each year holds the Lambda Literary Awards to recognize the best of the best of LGBT writers.
In her bio, Anderson describes herself as a “butch, anti-racist white Southerner from Atlanta, Ga.” She is currently working on a book, “Paradise Park,” that “tells the story of the Turners, an Evangelical Catholic family of six who operate a sin and salvation themed amusement park in Alapaha, Georgia.”
Now, that sounds like a place with some interesting rides.
Anderson has worked at Charis Books and More, the South’s oldest and larges feminist bookstore, since she was a teenager.
