The Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) hosted its annual community awards on Friday (September 20), honoring LGBTQ businesses and community leaders and announcing a new rebranding initiative.
AGLCC is now the Out Georgia Business Alliance, the group announced at the end of the event. The name change comes with the initiative to grow outside of Atlanta and cover the entire LGBTQ and allied business community in Georgia.
“The AGLCC is now the Out Georgia Business Alliance, expanding and embracing a bold new challenge to wrap our arms [around] the LGBTQ and allied business community across the entire state of Geogria,” the group posted to Facebook. “Through the power of economic development and advocacy, we are intentionally working for a thriving, loud, equitable, inclusive, and more fully representative Georgia, with a bright spotlight on the FULL spectrum of this Rainbow Economy.”
