Annual Atlanta Pride Run Goes Virtual

The Annual Atlanta Pride Run is going virtual this year in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and registration is now open.

Because of the health crisis, the 30th anniversary of the 5k will be postponed until 2021, making this the 29.5th annual race. However, the coronavirus won’t stop the fundraising; Front Runners Atlanta are partnering with Joining Hearts to raise money for Atlanta-area HIV healthcare agencies through this virtual race.

Because the race is virtual, participants can run any 5k course they want, including the Pride Run course at Piedmont Park. They simply have to submit their times online by June 28th at 5pm here.

Participants must submit an admissible proof of time: either a screenshot of a tracking app via smart device, a photo of your smart watch results, or a photo of your treadmill display with time and distance. Final race results will be posted here on June 28.

Every participant will receive a mask, participants who raise $100 or more will receive a t-shirt, participants who raise more than $250 will receive a medal, and the top fundraising team will receive a special prize.

You can help raise money to combat HIV locally by registering for the Atlanta Pride Run here. Registration costs $35.
