Atlanta Black Pride Announces Celebrity Ambassadors for Weekend Celebration

Atlanta Black Pride has announced that the cast of “Women in the Life — Atlanta” will be this year’s Celebrity Ambassadors for Atlanta Black Pride weekend on September 2 through September 5.

“Atlanta Black Pride, Inc. supports this intiative with Donna4Film Productions, Tatum Studios, and Women In The Life Atlanta cast because there is hope that this will be the stepping stone that is needed to have the Black LGBTQ+ community get involved in Atlanta Black Pride.” said Amber Moore, COO of Atlanta Black Pride, Inc.

Atlanta Black Pride was founded in 1996 when a small group of African American lesbian and gay friends held a picnic over Labor Day weekend to celebrate their unique experience in Atlanta’s LGBTQ community. Each year, the group grew with others from the community and neighboring cities. The annual Atlanta Black Pride celebration now attracts LGBTQ people of all racial backgrounds from every part of the nation, as well as from countries aboard. Atlanta Black Pride continues to roll out the rainbow carpet for the entire LGBTQ community and its visitors in celebration of the values, contributions, and ideals of PRIDE.

“Women in the Life — Atlanta” was first created in 1999 and brought to life by Donna4Film Productions, and Tatum Studios in 2021. “Women in the Life – Atlanta” is a reality series that highlights the lives of upscale professional ladies that identify as LGBTQ. The show is designed to dispel myths and stereotypes by chronicling the lifestyles of successful women in the LGBTQ+ community to include work, family, friendship and dating/relationships. The series follows a close group of friends in Atlanta, providing a fascinating social matrix that draws the viewer to bond with the women, as they take the viewer and themselves on a spiritual, emotional, and physical journey to learn on what makes these high-powered women “tick.”

This year, Atlanta Black Pride, Inc. is hosting majority of their events at the host hotel, Atlanta Marriott Midtown (35 14th St NE) and Central Park (400 Merritts Ave NE). Vending opportunities are still available.
