Atlanta Dream Hosts Pride Night on June 26

The Atlanta Dream, Atlanta’s professional women’s basketball team, is hosting their annual LGBTQ Pride Game on Saturday, June 26 against the New York Liberty at Gateway Center Arena.

The special Pride-themed event will feature in-game drag, burlesque, and storytelling performances organized by Storytime Cabaret; the Atlanta Women’s Chorus performing the national anthem; pride-themed rally towels provided to all fans; and special Atlanta Dream Pride merchandise. LGBTQ community members, including Atlanta Pride Executive Director Jamie Fergerson and OUT Georgia Business Alliance Executive Director Chris Lugo, will also be recognized during the game.

In addition, the Dream is partnering with Anthem and Free99Fridge for its first food drive of the season. Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring at least one food item to help combat food insecurity in Atlanta. Items accepted include boxed food, cans, non-perishable condiments, and wrapped cutlery.
