You’ve heard of Black Friday. You’ve heard of Cyber Monday. What could be better than spending your money on consumer goods at a slightly lower price? I’ll tell you: Giving Tuesday.
#GivingTuesday is the global day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (falling this year on November 27), kicking off the charitable holiday season.
Community is the most powerful force of change in the world. Give your community a sense of purpose by being a part of something big. #GivingTuesday – November 27, 2018

The day of charity was created in 2012 by the Belfer Center for Innovation and Social Impact and has seen support from organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Last year, the Gates Foundation matched every donation made on Facebook to celebrate the holiday.
How can you take part in #GivingTuesday? Donate! Don’t know what organizations to donate to? Here’s a list of some local LGBTQ non-profits and organizations that could greatly use your generosity.
