Because she is not a US citizen, she is not eligible for food stamps and many of the other programs available to the homeless.
We need $465 to pay this fee for her Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals application. This will give her a 2 year reprieve from deportation and allow her to legally work. The $465 fee is paid to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (a government agency) and not a lawyer. She has a lawyer working the case pro bono.
Please help us work a miracle for this homeless teen with your donation. This is an opportunity to make a major difference in the life and development of a young member of our community who needs our help!
Lost-N-Found is aiming for $465, all of which goes to the fee for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals application thanks to a pro-bono attorney.
As of this post, $100 has been raised.
