Marietta Native Comes to Georgia for One Man Show

Marietta native Tyler Hanes is coming back to Georgia for an evening of entertainment. The Broadway star will be performing a one-man show on Friday, November 2.

The show will portray his journey to becoming a modern song and dance man complete with songs from Freddie Mercury to Lin-Manuel Miranda. The show will cover personal stories of growing up in Marietta to making it on the Great White Way. The live action song and dance memoir will be an exciting new take on the one-man show.

As for Hanes, he was nominated for a 2006 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actor in a Principal Role in a Musical for his performance in “Footloose.” Hanes’ played Rum Tum Tugger in the Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “CATS.” He was also featured in “Ms. Guidance” (2018), “In the Blood” (2006), and “Hail, Caesar!” (2016), as well as the Broadway companies of “Hairspray” and the 2014 revival of “On the Town.”

Hanes’ choreography was featured in a Broadway medley starring Kristin Chenoweth on “Dancing with the Stars,” as well as in Kristin Chenoweth’s “Some Lessons Learned World Tour” and the Latin American premiere of “El Chico de Oz” in Lima, Peru.
