Come out to Amsterdam tonight to meet non-profit that makes grants to causes including LGBT rights

Meet the Southern Partners Fund

The Atlanta Lesbian Health Initiative, Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Equality, MEGA Family Project and the GA Voice host a meet-and-greet with the Southern Partners Fund at Amsterdam Atlanta tonight from 6-8 p.m.

Southern Partners Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, provides grants to LGBTQ organizations, helping provide political power, equality and justice within rural communities in the South that need assistance.

“It has been more than a decade that Southern Partners Fund has been developing local leadership through resources, training and guidance to grassroots organizations in communities across 12 southern states,” says SPF Development Specialist Craig Strain. “SPF primarily works in the areas of LGBTQ rights, civic engagement, economic justice, education reform, criminal and juvenile justice, prison reform, environmental justice, healthcare reform, disability rights, housing reform, labor rights, immigration rights, and women and youth development.”

The meet and greet provides a chance to recognize and better understand the benefit of SPF and the important services they provide to our southern communities.
