Saint Lost & Found, formed in November, is a grassroots effort by the Atlanta chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence that works to find emergency shelter for Atlanta homeless LGBT youth.
“Our members placed boxes in Georgia Equality’s Phillip Rush Center, Java Monkey, Einstein’s (on Juniper) and Joe’s on Juniper … and our recipient this year was the newly established LBGTQ youth homeless facility, Saint Lost and Found (SLF),” Courtney-Evans said.
Courtney-Evans said it was also important to her and members of TILTT to assist an organization that was serving transgender youth as well as gay, lesbian and bisexual young people.
“To be frank with you, there are events with organizations that say LGBTQ but the ‘T’ is still silent. I wanted to make sure the whole acronym was helped when we gave our canned goods,” she said.
