Beers, boys and a Bear-B-Q lead to $10,000 raised for AID Atlanta

Mother Nature must have a soft spot for bears. Threats of thunderstorms throughout Saturday afternoon didn’t come to pass, making for a successful day at the 3rd Annual Patio Bear-B-Q at the Heretic.

The Bear-B-Q was the kickoff event for Ready 4 Hope, the series of fundraising events for AID Atlanta, and was an official event for Atlanta Bear Pride.

DJ Robert Ansley provided the tunes while Ruby Redd emceed the event, where a $15 donation got attendees unlimited draft beer, BBQ from Williamson Bros. and sweet treats from Burly Bakers.

Event organizer Mike Woodside took to Facebook after the event to announce that over 600 attended, raising over $10,000 for the cause.
