Cohen and his foundation are profiled in the award-winning film “Legalize Gay” from Christopher Hines. Also profiled are Spelman University alum Jeshawna Wholley, who organized the first Pride event at the historically black college and was later invited to meet President Barack Obama; and Danny Hernandez, the intern credited for saving the life of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
The Stonewall month screening of “Legalize Gay” is a fundraiser for Cohen’s StandUp Foundation, the Atlanta Pride Committee and Out On Film.
Tickets to the screening and panel discussion are $15 and go on sale starting at 3 p.m. today, May 16, at http://legalizegayatlanta.eventbrite.com and will also be available at the door pending availability.
