Southern Fried Queer Pride Hosts TRANS PWR Fest

Southern Fried Queer Pride (SFQP) is hosting TRANS PWR Fest, a one-day, all trans, music, art, and community festival, on November 17 at The Bakery Atlanta.

The festival will kick off at 11 am with Trans and Queer Yoga, led by Kashi Atlanta Ashram, followed by a trans artist vendor market as well as workshops and skillshares. The event will also feature a movie night, and the overnight TRANS PWR Fest Variety Show, hosted by Koochi-Koochi Ku, will wrap up the event at 2 am.

The variety show will feature Edgeslayer, Royce Hall, Tears for the Dying, Micky Bee, JayBella Banks, Deku, Mystery Meat, Video Tronic, Haint, Perka-$exxx, and Ivy Faie.

SFQP, a queer and trans, arts and advocacy collective led by QTBIPoC creating Southern queer culture, created the event to uplift, empower, and bring together the trans and non-binary community.

The event has a $5-$20 suggested door cover, but those who can’t pay won’t be turned away. A portion of the door profit will be donated to local trans-led organizations, like the Trans Housing Atlanta Program, Inc.

The Bakery Atlanta is located at 825 Warner Street SW, Atlanta GA, 30310.
