Almost 200 swimmers will compete in more than 20 events as the Atlanta Rainbow Trout, the city’s LGBT swimming club, hosts the annual St. Nick Invitational Swim Meet on Saturday.
Spectators are “welcomed and encouraged” for the annual swim meet, which draws more than 25 teams.
The Atlanta Rainbow Trout offers an opportunity for swimmers of all levels and sexual orientations to work out and compete in an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion.
“The Trout welcomes all swimmers, water polo players, divers, and triathletes regardless of age (18+), gender, race, sexual orientation or ability,” the team notes on its website, www.atlantarainbowtrout.com.
