Twisted Soul Celebrates Juneteenth with Events on June 16-19

Chef Deborah VanTrece and Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pours have a lineup of amazing events in store in honor of Juneteenth this week. From June 16-19, Chef VanTrece will cooking up some delicious eats for Atlanta’s foodies.

On Wednesday, June 16, Twisted Soul will host a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. featuring half-priced menu items, including Collard Green Dip, ATL Lemon Chipotle Wings, and Buffalo Catfish Sliders with Kale Cabbage Slaw.

On Thursday, June 17, the restaurant will offer a family style dinner in addition to the standard dinner menu from 5-9 p.m. The dinner will include Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Cornbread, and Sweet Potato Biscuits.

On Friday, June 18, Twisted Soul will partner with Steady Hand Brewery for a Fish Fry, hosted at the brewery (1611 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). The Fish Fry, which will cost $12 a person, will include Chef VanTrece’s famous Fried Catfish, Snapper, Spaghetti, and Creamy Grits.

Celebrate Juneteenth on the 19th with Chef VanTrece. She will kick off the 2021 chef demo program at the Freedom Farmers Market at the Carter Center (453 John Lewis Freedom Pkwy NE) from 10 a.m. – noon, where you can enjoy her demonstration on creating dishes using season ingredients from local farms. Then, from 2-6 p.m. you can join Tiffanie Barriere at Atlanta Contemporary (535 Means St NW) with “A Toast to the Red Drink,” featuring small bites and sweets from Twisted Soul. This 21+ event, which celebrates the cultural and historical significance of Juneteenth, requires registration.

The holiday culminates with a special four-course Juneteenth pre-fixe dinner at Twisted Soul from 5-10 p.m.
