The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation today announced the nominees for its annual Media Awards.

The awards are meant to celebrate positive portrayals of LGBT people in film, music, print and on television.

The awards galas will be held in New York (March 24), Los Angeles (April 21) and San Francisco (June 2) this year.
