Kellogg’s Releases “All Together Cereal” to Raise Awareness for Anti-LGBTQ Bullying

In honor of Spirit Day (October 17), a day sponsored by GLAAD to raise awareness for anti-LGBTQ bullying, Kellogg’s released a special edition LGBTQ cereal.

The “All Together Cereal” is a big box holding smaller boxes of six Kellogg’s favorites: Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, and Rice Krispies.

The box bares a rainbow logo and all of the separate cereal mascots happily together on a purple box (purple is the official color of Spirit Day). The side of the box reads, “We all belong together,” in rainbow lettering and a message of support.

“All Together Cereal is a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from, or who you love,” the box reads. “We believe that all people deserve an environment where they can be their best selves. That’s why we’ve joined forces with GLAAD for Spirit Day to stand up against bullying, and to support a more accepting world for LGBTQ people.”

Along with the special edition cereal, Kellogg’s donated $50,000 to GLAAD to support their LGBTQ advocacy, according to LGBTQ Nation.

“We are proud to partner with Kellogg’s again this year to help extend the important message of Spirit Day to households across the country,” John McCourt of GLAAD said. “The All Together Cereal encompasses the values of diversity, equality, and solidarity that Spirit Day is all about, and we hope that LGBTQ youth everywhere receive the messages loud and clear.”
