Ariana Grande May Have Come Out as Bi in New Song

Speculation around Ariana Grande’s sexuality has arisen after the singer potentially came out as bisexual in her latest song.

In her newest track “Monopoly,” a collaboration with Victoria Monét, Grande sings, “I like women and men,” causing fans to sound off on Twitter.

“[I] this is an April fool’s joke the bi community will take your toes,” one person tweeted.

One user even said the new song gave them the courage to come out as bi themselves.

Grande is set to headline Manchester Pride’s music festival this summer, which sparked controversy as some assumed she was straight and claimed she was exploiting the LGBTQ community.

The “thank u, next” singer defended herself on Twitter, saying she had nothing to do with the high ticket prices many were complaining about and expressing her support of the LGBTQ community.

“The lgbtq community has been so special to me and supportive throughout my entire career,” she said. “The relationships I have with my lgbtq fans, friends, and family make me so so happy. I want to celebrate and support this community, regardless of my identity or how people label me. And I also want to visit a city that means so much to me.”

In light of the new song, some fans were moved to criticize those that disapproved of Grande’s Pride performance.

Monét seemingly confirmed fans’ suspicions on Instagram after responding to a comment from a fan.

“IS SHE BI OR NAH,” a user commented on one of Monét’s Instagram photos, to which she replied, “She said what she said.”
