Tonight, Jungle recreates the club that once led gay Atlanta nightlife

Back to Backstreet

With its motto of “always open and pouring,” Backstreet Atlanta was the home of all-night gay partying, hot DJs and the infamous Charlie Brown’s Cabaret.

The 24-hour private club shut down after years of battling with the city, and its former location now sprouts condominiums.

But Backstreet returns at least in spirit, as Jungle recreates the vibe with a new installment of its Backstreet Reunion parties.

Doors open tonight at 8:30 p.m. Charlie Brown’s Cabaret, still led by the self-proclaimed “Bitch of the South” herself, takes the stage at 9 p.m., followed by DJs Rob Reum and Bill Berdeaux spinning.

Jungle is located at 2115 Faulkner Rd., Atlanta, GA 30324.
