Cyndi Lauper and More to Perform in Livestreamed Concert Benefitting LGBTQ Nightlife Affected by COVID-19

Cyndi Lauper, Todrick Hall, and other gay icons and allies will be performing at a charity livestream to give back to LGBTQ nightlife affected by the coronavirus.

The Stonewall Gives Back Initiative, the official charity of the historic Stonewall Inn, has partnered with World of Wonder Productions to host Stonewall Gives Back! A Live-Streaming Concert for the LGBTQ Nightlife Community, on Thursday, April 23 at 8pm ET.

The event will feature performances by Cyndi Lauper, Troye Sivan, Todrick Hall, Kim Petras, Kristen Chenoweth, Pabllo Vittar, Rufus Wainwright, Allie X, Alan Cumming, Betty Who, Greyson Chance, John Cameron Mitchell, and more. It will be hosted by Michelle Visage and Tyler Oakley.

“I think this pandemic has made it even more clear just how vulnerable some of our communities actually are,” Erich Bergen, the executive producer of the event, said. “We are coming together to respond to this crisis in a collaborative way, through music, which is the great unifier.”

All proceeds of the event will go directly toward a fun where nightlife industry professionals can apply for emergency assistance. Funds will be distributed in $1,000 grants based on need.

You can livestream the concert tomorrow through World of Wonder’s YouTube channel.
