Fall Preview: Glam rock to girls with guitars

October brings the Atlanta Pride festival, with “American Idol” Kimberly Locke headlining the festival, and gay Christian singer Ray Boltz headlining a huge show at First Metropolitan Community Church during Pride weekend.

Also in October: Indigo Girls, the beloved homegrown lesbian duo of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, plays the Buckhead Theatre; the queer-inclusive band Girlyman brings their quirky style to Eddie’s Attic, and thoughtful lesbian songwriter Catie Curts also takes the stage at Eddie’s.

The fall concert season rounds out with out gay saxophonist Dave Koz at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in November, and outspoken (and hilarious) queer rights advocate Margaret Cho bringing her “Cho Dependent” tour in December.

Here are some of the most interesting concerts and CD releases scheduled for this fall. Some are out queer artists, some prefer not to define their sexuality, and some just count gays among their fans.
