RuPaul and “Sex in the City” creator plan new comedy

Drag legend RuPaul has announced plans to collaborate with Michael Patrick King. The pair will produce a new comedy for Netflix.

The proposed show will be a 10-episode comedy for the online entertainment giant.

According to reports, the title for the show will be “AJ and the Queen.” RuPaul will supposedly play a tough-luck drag queen touring America. According to reports, there will be a musical number in every club visited by RuPaul’s character, Ruby Red. RuPaul is slated to be both writer and executive producer.

“AJ” refers to RuPaul’s 11-year-old sidekick. No actors have been announced for the role.

The show will be produced by King’s MPK Productions, and Warner Bros. Television. A release date has not been announced yet.
