WATCH: Queer Musician Rigel Gemini Releases Music Video Featuring Atlanta Talent

Atlanta entertainers and Drag Race big names are lifting spirits worldwide in Rigel Gemini’s new social distance-friendly “I Can’t” music video.

On Friday, queer musician Rigel Gemini released the music video for his debut single “I Can’t.” Gemini originally planned to film a music video on set but scrapped those plans after the coronavirus pandemic hit and opted for a more appropriate video style: a virtual house party.

The video includes 20 participants like RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Gia Gunn and Alyssa Edwards, as well as Atlanta-local talent Brigitte Bidet, Victor Jackson, Feroza Syed, Miss He, TJ MAXXX, Brande Elise, and Dani Gray.

“Atlanta has some of the world’s best performers and top-notch drag and queer talent,” Gemini said in a press release. “I was determined to showcase the best of our community with this video. And the result is jaw-dropping.”

“Thank you so much to the people involved in this project and video,” Gemini wrote on Facebook. “…We had diversity of all kinds, people of color, [transgender and gender non-conforming] people, and most importantly people who are absolutely stunning in all ways. [T]his has been a moment to remember.”
