Attend in person, online to hear about specific LGBT impact

Learn more about healthcare reform tonight with Ga. Equality

The Affordable Healthcare Act will have specific impacts on LGBT people as key parts take effect later this year and throughout 2014, so Georgia Equality and Georgians for a Healthy Future join forces tonight for a town hall meeting to explain the changes.

“The town hall meeting will not only discuss how the Affordable Care Act will change the healthcare landscape for everyone, but how it will specifically impact LGBT individuals, couples, youth and people living with chronic medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS,” Georgia Equality leaders stated in a press release announcing the meeting.

The event will be held tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Phillip Rush Center, 1530 DeKalb Ave., Atlanta, GA 30307. It is free, but attendees are asked to RSVP here.

Those who can’t attend in person can also view the town hall live online. There is room for 100 online attendees, so those who plan to use this option are urged to reserve webinar seats here.
