In 1989, the Berlin Wall came down and American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein traveled to Berlin to conduct a celebratory concert. His composer of choice? Beethoven. Ludwig Beethoven and Leonard Bernstein were lifelong champions of two things: music and liberty.
