LGBT Atlanta chorus donating album proceeds to Orlando shooting victims

OurSong is using its voices for the victims of the June 12 shooting at Orlando LGBT club Pulse that left 49 dead and 53 injured. The LGBT Atlanta chorus announced Monday that they will donate 100 percent of CD Baby sales of up to 1,000 digital downloads of their recently released album “Requiem for the Living” to the OneOrlando Fund. The online fundraiser will occur July 1-7.

OurSong, led by artistic director Robert Glor, recorded the album in February of this year at Spivey Hall at Clayton State University in Morrow. The recording features the chorus as well as soprano soloist Wanda Yang Temko, a chamber orchestra, and Spivey Hall’s Albert Schweitzer Memorial Ruffatti pipe organ.

“We hope that you will support this effort, and we also hope the music itself will offer some comfort during somber times,” read a press release from the group announcing the fundraiser.

The digital download is available for $9.99 and can be purchased here.
