Needless to say, the internet has not been kind to Mr. Harris. All this just days before North Carolina voters will decide whether or not to adopt Amendment One, which would define marriage as a union between one man and one woman in the state’s constitution.
Harris issued an “apology” on his personal blog:
I apologize to anyone I have unintentionally offended. I did not say anything to intentionally offend anyone in the LGBT community. My intent was to communicate the truth of the Word of God concerning marriage.
However, I do not apologize for the manner in which the Word of God articulates sexual immorality, including homosexuality and effeminacy, as a behavior that is an abomination to God.
You can read the entire statement here, but Harris really doesn’t do a good job of apologizing for his words.
