Angelica Ross to Host LGBTQ Presidential Forum

Transgender activist and actress Angelica Ross will host the national 2020 Presidential Candidate Forum on LGBTQ Issues presented by GLAAD, One Iowa, The Gazette, and The Advocate.

Ross’s role as an outspoken transgender activist, advocate, and history-maker makes her the ideal host for the forum, which will be the first time LGBTQ issues will exclusively be discussed by the 2020 presidential candidates.

Ross made history as part of the largest transgender cast ever for a scripted TV series while on Pose. She was also recently cast in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming AHS: 1984, making her the first transgender performer to land two series regular roles on TV. She is also the President of Miss Ross, Inc. and the founder and CEO of TransTech Social Enterprises, an organization that helps people lift themselves out of poverty through technical training and digital work.

Confirmed participants in the forum are Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Joe Sestak, Elizabeth Warren and Marianne Williamson. County artist and The Voice contestant Billy Gillman is set to perform the national anthem preceding the event.

The LGBTQ Presidential Forum will be held this Friday (September 20) at 7:00 pm CT. The event will be available for live-streaming here.
