Two upcoming Atlanta LGBT events are now rescheduled for later dates.

Atlanta Pride Ride, Community Expo postponed

The Pride Ride, put on by the Atlanta Pride Committee, was originally set for this Saturday, Sept. 18.

The Pride Ride will now take place on Oct. 23, in order to draw more bicyclists to the Arabia Mountain trail, according to Pride Executive Director JP Sheffield. That puts the ride after the Atlanta Pride festival, which is set for Oct. 9-10 in Piedmont Park.

More details about the ride, which offers 10 and 20 mile options, can be found here.

The Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce has also postponed its Community Expo, which was scheduled to take place Sept. 26.

The event will now be rescheduled for Feb. 6, AGLCC President Ted Bruner said.

The later date will give the AGLCC more time to plan, and organizers are also hopeful that more companies will be hiring in the new year, beefing up the job fair that will be part of the Expo.
